My New Niece!!!

Thats right! She is finally here!!! Emily Nicole Dye came into the world by C-section at 7:37 pm I believe. She is 8 lbs 7oz and 21 inches long. She has an ENTIRE HEAD full of dark hair. So much in fact I think they can honestly put bows in her hair without any trouble from birth! She is absolutely perfect. Momma is doing great too. She was in recovery when I left. I havent gotten a chance to hold the little one but I will tomorrow. Just wanted to share my news. I have TONS of pictures but I left my camera for Jason and Nicole so they could continue taking pictures. I will post some soon. :)

It's beginning to look alot like.....

CHRISTMAS!! Yep, I have finished the decorating, the presents are wrapped and the kids have been warned about the elves! They are cautiously looking out the windows to see if the elves are marking them on the naughty or nice list. :) Its a good feeling to have everything ready for the big day. Its alot of fun to see how excited the kids are. They wore their christmas outfits today, we took pictures of the girls. Joseph did not have one in his size...so we will get one before family pictures are taken. Promise!! The upside was that for once the outfits for him were not to big...they were to small!! YAY. We also built a gingerbread house. The girls had a blast doing that. Some bits and pieces of candy have started to disappear from it already and strangely the girls have no idea where its going. :P I hope everyone is as excited as we are for the big day. It's Raining......

NOPE....POURING!!! You know that old saying that everyone can relate to. I have decided it has proven true for me over and over again. If yesterdays events weren't enough..this could be the straw that breaks the camels back. You see...Joe's car broke down today. YES....it sure did. We now have his car in the shop to determine what is wrong with it. We are PRAYING its as small as needing a new battery, but for some reason I feel my already empty pockets are in for some bad news. We did however get some good news from Stanley Steemer. They removed 7 of the 10 fans! This is saving us 350.00!!! If they remove more tomorrow there will be even more savings! FINALLY some good news! I just hope we are not taking it from one company to pay another. Anyway, Just wanted to give the update on our ever entertaining drama.


****UPDATE****

The car repair stopped at needing a battery! Yay!!! So, the cost was under 200...which means we are still ahead in savings! The sheetrock man is our last stop...let us PRAY he is cheap!

Water World

OK...not so much....just a watered down bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and garage. So, if you haven't guessed, we had a water leak today. Joe was trying his best to improve our home and it ended in a very wet disaster. In our downstairs bathroom Joe was trying to strengthen the towel rack which was very wobbly. He was drilling into the wall not realizing he had drilled into a water pipe attached to the hot water heater. :( Needless to say when he started to realize water was coming from the hole he drilled he knew something was wrong. All it took was one little shake and.....POW...the water came streaming from the hole with so much pressure it put a hole in the wall across the bathroom!! Joe ran around crazy for a second and then realized he needed to get the water cut off. He ran outside and cut off all water flow into the house. When he came back in water was EVERYWHERE. So much in fact we were forced to call for help. I was at work during this episode of course, so Joe was on his own. We called in Stanley Steemer to extract the water. Due to all the water there was alot of moisture on the walls. So, as a result 10 industrial strength fans will blow non stop for the next 3 days to get the moisture out of the wall. We had to call in a plumber to fix the pipe. Tomorrow a man will come in to fix the sheet rock in the bathroom. So far our tab is 1636.94 not including the sheet rock man. As you can see....Our idea of indoor pool was not what we expected. :( To all of your home owners...remember before installing a towel rack, be familiar with what is on the other side of the wall. To those of you who are in an apartment...can I move in?? I miss the free maintenance! So, needless to say we have had an eventful day. Surprisingly, Joe and I have handled this with smiles on our faces. I guess after everything else that has happened to us these last few months we have bonded together and realized we can make it through anything. Our bank account on the other hand.....not so much. :) Here are some pictures of our lovely mess.

Another addition to the Fling household.....

Guys come on now....NO I'm not pregnant! hehe. I had a good friend of mine offer me a great deal. She is a Boxer breeder and has given me her last puppy. :) We are now the proud owners of a 7 week old female boxer puppy. We have decided to name her Bella. Lots of people like to point out "Are you sure?? You have so much on your plate right now." To that...this is my response...

Yes, we have alot on our plate. Alot of negative things. For once, Joe and I decided we are going to do something fun. Since Joseph's birth everything has been hectic and crazy...sad and depressing. He is a wonderful baby with challenges. We wanted something fun to add to the mix. When this opportunity came our way we decided it would be a GOOD thing. Yes, puppies have their moments...but that doesn't mean it will overwhelm us. Potty training is such a small spectrum to the return you get from the love of a loyal dog. So far, she has only pee peed 2 times and that was just hours after I brought her home. We got her Sunday night. I am happy with her. Besides...its just a dog...its not 5 more kids. We can handle it. :)
