Princesses DO have short Hair!

I finally convinced Megan to cut her hair. With the hot months approaching it seemed like the right time. Before now she wouldn't do it because she didn't want to lose her "Barbie Princess Hair." I made sure she knew that princesses have short hair too. She looks adorable with the new cut. It doesn't quite curl at the end like it used to but you can tell the curl is still there. :) Take a look below. What a cutie!

Hailey is a Rock Star!

This morning Hailey had her 2nd soccer game. She did AWESOME! They played a blue and black team called "The knights". Her team won the game (even though no score is kept)7-2. Hailey scored 3 of the 7 points. She is really loving soccer. She was much more involved in this game. She was so aggressive and never gave up! You can hear in the video below how everyone is screaming her name most of the game. She loved scoring the goals and seeing everyone cheer for her. I can honestly tell you the 50.00 we paid to get her into the league was beyond worth the money. We decided we will do it again next year and sign Megan up too! Megan loves cheering for Hailey. She stands on the sidelines screaming "GO HAILEY!! KICK IT HARD!!". She cant wait to play! There was also another little boy on the other team who kept coming to to sidelines and telling his parents "I'm not fast enough!" then they would say "Yes you are, go play, go get the ball" and he would say "NO I'M NOT!" He was so cute. Anyway, the video is below, Hailey is on the black and silver team and is #5!

Go Hailey Go!!

This weekend Hailey had her first soccer game. My entire family showed up to cheer her on. The league is great! The teams are very small so there is no side line sitting for very long. Every child is guaranteed to play every game. Hailey had such a good time. The game was soooo cute! She has 6 kids on her team. 4 girls and 2 boys. They are called "The Blaze" and their colors are silver and black. The coach is awesome! His son is on Hailey's team too. Let me just tell you...to coach 4 and 5 year olds to play soccer takes a TREMENDOUS amount of patience. This man is seriously like a saint. You can tell he loves doing what he does and has a blast doing it. The kids all love him. I would have lost it after the first 10 minutes of practice. He recognizes that the kids have never played before and will have a short attention span. He has that "roll with the punches" attitude which is amazing. The other really cool part about this league is that they don't keep score for the younger teams. There is no winning or losing. Everyone plays and has a great time. HOWEVER...the parents do secretly keep score, and Hailey's team won 6-5. :) The kids all chase the ball kicking it where ever there is an open space. They even score for each other ha ha. The game time lasts about an hour with 2-3 breaks. I am so glad we paid the 50 bucks to get Hailey into Soccer. She really loves it. I posted some pictures and have a video but am still trying to figure out how the heck to get it on the blog itself. More to come. :)

The 2 Dancing Princesses

My two adorable daughters love to sing and dance. Anything that has easy lyrics and a catchy tune they memorize. Today they were watching the movie "Enchanted". It came to the part where the main character is singing a song called "How does she know". Hailey and Megan immediately started singing along and dancing. It was adorable! I grabbed my video camera and started taping them. I was able to forever capture the adorable laughter, sweet smiles and precious voices. My two little princesses. They are so much fun at this age. The two of them have such vivid imaginations. I love to watch them play without them knowing I am there. It never ceases to amaze me how creative they are. Today they just ran around doing their best to mimic the dancing in the movie while singing the song. The best part was the ending. In the movie all the characters freeze at the end of the song. Hailey and Megan did the same thing. Each with their arms reaching above their heads. I played the tape back while they were napping and it brought a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. My girls have grown up so fast! I am so glad I was able to capture this moment so I can relive it over and over again when they no longer dance in my living room. They have such life in them now. No worries at all. Just waking up each day to have fun and live in the moment. I encourage all of you with children to do the same. Paying the money for a good video camera was the best choice we ever made. Watching my 2 dancing princesses over and over again is as close to heaven on earth as you can get.
