Happy 2012!!

That's right folks, its a brand new year!! It's been a while since my last post. I keep saying that...hmmm. But, that could have something to do with our busy busy lives and the fact I have 4 children! Needless to say...its update time!!

Joe- He is doing great. He is still working for Comal County Sheriffs office as a Deputy. He just recently started coaching basketball for the first time. He is coaching Megan's team. He has such a way with children, it makes me love him more every day. He always seems to end up with the "less coordinated" kids and still somehow manages to make them winners. Not to mention they all have a blast playing for him.

Heidi- I am still working for USAA. I am hoping that in the not to distant future I will be able to start working from home! My goodness what a blessing that would be! Aside from that my Thyroid issue seems to be on the back burner. I haven't had any major issues since having Melanie. I am the biggest cheerleader for my kids sports, and do my very best to attend every game. I have set once again a few new years resolutions for myself. They are 1) Lose weight...period. 2) Start family scripture study, family home evening and Family prayer. 3) Become more dedicated with my job. I have chosen most of these in the past at one point or another...but this year I REALLY want to try harder than I have in the past.

Hailey- Hailey is doing awesome! She is loving 3rd grade and continues to improve. She is doing tutoring 2 days a week for reading and math, just to help her make up a little ground. She is enjoying playing basketball and has already made 2 free throws in the 3 games she has had. She is excited to start soccer again in the spring. It's so hard to believe how much she has matured and grown over the last year. She is always a big help to me with her brother and youngest sister. I can pretty much count on her for anything.

Megan- Megan LOVES school. She is doing so well. Her most recent report card showed that she was above grade level in reading and math! Her teacher is such a wonderful lady and really enjoys having Megan in her class. She is always talking about her friends and how much fun she has. Megan is also playing basketball. She is on Joe's team and has alot of fun. She is still trying to get more coordinated, but is getting better each game. She also looks forward to playing soccer in the Spring. She just recently lost her 2 front teeth and has the most adorable grin ever! She has the biggest heart and is always thinking about others. She has no problem sharing with her older sister and has alot of love for her younger siblings. She always wants to help and sure loves to snuggle!

Joseph- Joseph is doing AWESOME! We have been very fortunate to report there have not been any major surgeries for over a year! He LOVES going to school. His favorite part is the bus ride! His 3 teachers are the most amazing women. They truly enjoy Joseph and his personality. He is such a sweet little boy. His laugh is beyond contagious and his smile will light up any room. He loves to be tickled and tossed around by his daddy. His is getting stronger each day and his teachers report that he is definitely trying to say some words. In his own time, I really hope to one day hear him clearly say "Mom". That would be an amazing feeling. However, with the knowledge of the gospel...if not in this life, I know I will in the next!

Melanie- Melanie is the cutest thing ever! She still has her red hair and bright blue eyes! She is by far the best baby of the 4 kids. She is so easy going and loves to self entertain. She is crawling around everywhere and will walk around while holding onto furniture. She loves to laugh and her smile is just priceless. She is adored by her 2 older sisters. He favorite things to do include playing with toys, picking up anything and everything on the floor and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She has such a sweet personality and is definitely a Mama's girl!

That just about concludes the family updates. We are looking forward to a wonderful year and hope it is full of beautiful memories and LOTS of fun! Will do my best to update more than just twice a year!
