Got Dirt?

So today was a little colder than usual. Alot of Sundays we let the girls sit outside on the swing in the backyard. Today, not so much. I wanted something to fill the time slot so I decided to make "Dirt and Worms." Most of you are probably familiar with it. It contains Oreo's (dirt), chocolate pudding (mud), whipped cream, and gummy worms. Each ingredient is layered one on top of the other in a clear cup. The kids LOVED it. They were very patient in waiting until after dinner to eat them. Its fun to see the kids anticipate something. It sure was a quiet room once they got to dig in. Not even a peep came from the kitchen. :) Below is a picture of the finished product.

For those of you that want to give it a try, here is the recipe:

1 Package of Jello Instant chocolate pudding (large box)
18 Oreo cookies
1 tub of Cool whip (you will have alot leftover)
1 Package of Gummy worms
Clear cups
(this made 4 dirt cups)

Prepare the chocolate pudding according to the directions on the box, set aside. Crush the Oreo's into small crumbled pieces. (to resemble dirt). Put in the bottom of each cup. Next layer the chocolate pudding being careful not to disturb the "dirt" at the bottom. Add another layer of "dirt" and then another layer of chocolate pudding. Top with large spoonful of whipped cream. crumble a small amount of cookies on top of the whipped cream. Add two to three gummy worms. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy!!
